RC-model FMS FJ40. Part 3

Other posts about this model: fms_fj40

Let me remind you once again: the FMS FJ40 is a specific model, you need to buy it knowingly. It doesn't like large changes in elevation. Now my model is ready for realistic photo shoots: scale driving along shallow rivers and forest trails, a bit of mudding - that's its element. Here's what I ended up with.

1. Tried to give the model the most authentic look:

2. Metal rack jack. It actually works:

4. Installed a winch. Installed scale windshield wipers from below. Added their motor on the right. Made a scale antenna:

5. Reduced the roof rack. Added a scale surfboard there. Painted it in model's colors:

9. Real California license plates. 3D-printed, they have raised lettering:

11. Tried to make the rust look like the real thing:

12. The grille is mesh, with a radiator visible behind it. Stuck on a different emblem:

16. The model holds front-rear angles very well and, for a body of this size and weight, does decently on side angles:

17. Made floor mats that imitate EVA material:

18. Tried to make the interior as close to the real one as possible:

20. Put accessories in the trunk:
